Heanly is a Senior Portfolio Manager, Head of Research Europe & Partner at Cross Ocean Adviser LLP.
He is a founding partner of Cross Ocean and runs the European Credit team.
He is a member of the Management Committee of Cross Ocean.
Mr. Heanly helped found the European special situations business at Capula Investment Management in September 2012, where he ran the ESS research team, before transferring across to Cross Ocean in July 2015.
Prior to this, he was a managing director of Angelo, Gordon & Co, a New York based hedge fund which he joined in 2000.
He established and ran the London office as head of the European special situations investment team focused on European distressed debt and event-driven equity opportunities.
Prior to this, he worked at UBK Asset Management (1997 to 2000) as a portfolio manager and formerly as a senior investment analyst.
Prior to that, he worked at Nat West Markets in the global markets division.
He was a chartered accountant at KPMG from 1989 to 1994.
He received his BA Economics from Manchester University.
He is a Chartered Accountant.
