Robert Jay Gottlieb

Mr. Robert J.
Gottlieb is a Director at Capricorn Fund Managers Ltd.
He joined Capricorn in 2011 and is responsible for overall strategy and management of the group.
Prior to joining Capricorn, he was the European Head of the Wealth Management business of Investec and had been with the Investec Group since 1994.
He held a number of roles across the Trade Finance and Corporate Finance divisions, encompassing client acquisition, deal origination/structuring, risk management and various business management positions including joint head of the Private Bank in Cape Town.
He was transferred to Investec’s London office in October 2005 from Geneva.
He has an accounting qualification as well as a law degree from the University of Cape Town as well as a postgraduate qualification in Treasury Management from UNISA.
