Phil Sturgess

Mr. Phil Sturgess is Chief Operating Officer at Cadiz Asset Management (Pty) Ltd.
He joined the Cadiz group in June 1998, assuming overall responsibility for developing and managing the corporate client base.
He completed his articles with Touche Ross in the UK, and then moved to South Africa in 1980 to join the audit department of Price Waterhouse in Johannesburg.
In 1981, he joined African Products (Pty) Limited as a systems accountant, and was later promoted to group IS manager.
In 1986, he joined Amalgamated Retail Limited.
He has also played a number of roles at Amrel, including that of group strategic planning executive before leaving to join First Derivatives, a division of First National Bank, in 1996.
He holds a degree in Mathermatics and a Master's degree in Business Administration (cum laude).
