Pat J. Foley

Dr. Foley is a Managing Principal of Innovation Capital Advisors, LLC.
He is the founding chairman of the DIF, served as its Board Chair for five years, and has been an active member of the Board and investment process since the Fund's inception.
In June 2001, Dr. Foley joined the DIF as a member of its senior management following his retirement after thirty-two years with DuPont.
Prior to retiring from DuPont, Dr. Foley's last position was President-New Businesses, DuPont iTechnologies.
In that position, Dr. Foley managed DuPont's business creation efforts in new types of displays, holographic materials, advanced photoresists, portable power supplies, and photonic materials.
Prior to that position, he was Global Managing Director of the Corporate New Business Development Division for twelve years.
Earlier, Dr. Foley was the Managing Director of several of DuPont's major global polymer businesses.
Dr. Foley received his Bachelor's degree in chemistry from St. Peter's College, and MS and PhD degrees in chemistry/biochemistry from Princeton University.
He served as a Captain in the US Army Ordnance Corps, HDL, Army Materiel Command, during the Vietnam era.
Dr. Foley is also an active member of the National Ski Patrol.
