is Head of Energy Studies Department at Organization of The Petroleum Exporting Countries.
He performed various technical jobs, both in the downstream and upstream positions throughout his career at the Ministry of Non Renewable Natural Resources, National Directorate of Hydrocarbons and the Ecuadorian NOC Petroecuador.
Within these Institutions, he held managerial positions in different areas such as International Marketing, Upstream Contracts Administration and Domestic Marketing.
He also performed as Deputy Minister and Ministerial Advisor in two different periods.
He received a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Cuenca-Ecuador, and a Master of Business Administration from Babson College, Boston-Massachusetts.
