Wafra International Investment Co. (Wafra) is the investment management subsidiary of the Government of Kuwait's Public Institution for Social Security of Kuwait. Headquartered in Safat, the firm was founded in 1994 and aims to ensure financial investment in all economic sectors inside and outside Kuwait, including investing and trading shares in the GCC and Arabian markets; managing different types of financial portfolios and investment funds; providing forward services and future sales in the local markets; preparing and managing public and private offerings in both local and Arabian markets; conducting studies and specialized analytical research covering local and Arabian markets and providing margin financing.
