Klaus Nathusius is the founder and Managing General Partner of Genes Gmbh Venture Services, based in Frechen, Germany.
He also lectures as a Guest Professor on Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Finance at the University of Kassel, Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien and the European Business School, and sits on the board of several high-tech and early-stage companies.
His qualifications include a Dipl.-Kfm.
(MBA) and a PhD Business Administration from the University of Cologne.
As Managing Director of International Venture Capital Partners (IVCP) S.A.
Holding, he built up the first early-stage high-tech independent venture fund focused in Germany.
Since then, he has raised DM 60m of venture capital funds, pioneered the introduction of private equity investment in former East Germany and managed many successful exits.
From 1988 to 1989 he served as the Chairman of EVCA, and is still actively involved with the Association.
Other current roles include: Managing Director of the Centre for Intra-and Entrepreneurship as a network partner of the START initiative between the University of Kassel, University of Marburg, University of Goettingen and University for Applied Sciences Fulda.
Vice President of FGF Scientific Society for Entrepreneurship Research; Head of Schmalenbach Working Group ‘Business Partnership’.
