Protégé Energy LLC ('Protégé') is a privately held company engaged in the acquisition and development of oil and gas properties in the Mid-Continent, Gulf Coast, East Texas, Permian Basin, and Rocky Mountain Regions. The company was formed in May 2004 through a partnership between affiliates of Encap Investments L.P. and members of the Protégé management team. Execution of the company’s growth strategy began immediately and resulted in the successful acquisitions of key properties in the Anadarko and Arkoma Basins of the Mid-Continent area, as well as properties in South Texas.
