Jean-Louis de Bernardy has over 21 years private equity experience in France.
Prior to founding Activa Capital, Mr. de Bernardy was President and Managing Director of Bridgepoint France (formerly NatWest Equity Partners France - NWEP France), which he started in 1995.
In 1989, he founded Capital Privé, which from 1991 to 1995 acted as NWEP's agent in France.
In 1984, Mr. de Bernardy successfully launched one of France's first buyout firms Initiative et Finance.
Mr. de Bernardy holds a PhD in Economics from the Faculté de Droit et des Sciences Economiques de Paris and is a graduate in information technology.
He is a Director of AFIC (the French private equity association) where he chairs the investors' relations commission and he lectures on private equity at HEC (Hautes Etudes Commerciales).
