As Partner, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Mr. Comer has extensive legal and regulatory compliance experience with regulated investment management firms.
He is responsible for overseeing NovaQuest Capital’s legal and compliance activities.
Prior to joining NovaQuest Capital in 2020, Mr. Comer served as general counsel and head of regulatory and compliance for Cipher Technologies Management, a hedge fund firm focused on complex digital asset derivatives trading strategies, and for Altpoint Capital, a global, sector agnostic venture capital firm.
Previously, Mr. Comer led legal and compliance for Starr Investment Holdings, a New York-based private equity firm focused principally on technology-enabled healthcare services firms.
Mr. Comer began his legal career as an associate in the investment management group of Ropes & Gray LLP, a global law firm
