After leaving his last assignment as head of Goldman Sachs' operations in Japan, he moved to Seattle where he serves on the boards of ZAMA Networks, the Seattle Opera, the Seattle Symphony, the Henry Gallery, the Seattle Chamber Music Festival and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
He also serves on the Washington State Investment Board which oversees in excess of $50 billion of state employee pension funds.
