Ms. Talbot, founder of One-On-One Research, will be launching coverage of the Business Intelligence sector later this year.
Ms. Talbot has over fifteen years of investment industry experience including ten years as a research analyst on the sellside and buyside.
Specifically, she was a senior analyst for Advest, Furman Selz and Brown Brothers Harriman before joining Merrill Lynch Investment Management (MLIM) as a Portfolio Manager for the firm's global technology funds.
Ms. Talbot left MLIM in 2002 to form her own independent research firm — One-On-One Research.
The firm’s initial business strategy of producing client driven research will remain one of the firm’s product offerings in addition to Ms. Talbot’s sector coverage.
Ms. Talbot began her Wall Street career as a network engineer at Salomon Brothers.
Her in-depth knowledge of the software industry and rapid advancement attracted the attention of the firm’s Corporate Finance team and resulted in her being directly recruited into the department.
Two years later, she briefly joined Sutro & Co.’s Corporate Finance team before making the transition into equity research.
In addition to her tenure in financial services, Ms. Talbot has extensive IT experience which includes designing and developing software for the Air Force as well as over twenty Fortune 500 companies such as American Express, Prudential and Pacific Bell.
Ms. Talbot graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Business and Polytechnic University with a MS in Information Systems.
