Charles J. Batchelor

Mr. Charles J.
Batchelor, CFA, is Director of Investment Research at Cleary Gull Advisors, Inc. and Director of Investment Research at Cleary Gull, Inc. He oversees the firm’s research team, which is responsible for manager selection, manager due diligence and analytics.
In this role, he regularly interviews investment managers and conducts on-site due diligence trips to meet with portfolio managers, analysts, traders and other key professionals.
His research focuses on the analysis of a firm’s investment team, ownership structure, investment process, risk management, trading and culture.
He is a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee and Equity Strategy Group, and brings over a decade of experience evaluating investment managers.
Mr. Batchelor’s previous experience includes an internship at a financial services firm where he was a member of the Investment Research and Communication Team.
His responsibilities included conducting competitor analysis on intermediary partner platforms, analyzing client portfolios and supporting client servicing efforts.
Mr. Batchelor graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in Finance.
He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Milwaukee, where he currently serves on the Board of Directors.
