Mr. Bob R.
Hinckley is Senior Vice President-Government Programs at Capital District Physicians Health Plan, Inc. He was named senior vice president, government and external relations in January 2006 after serving as vice president government and external relations since July 2004.
He has more than 20 years of experience in media relations, and health and government policy.
Mr. Hinckley served as senior deputy secretary to New York State Governor Pataki in the areas of health and human services.
Prior to serving in the governor's office, he worked for the New York State Department of Health (DOH) -- first as the director of public affairs, then as the deputy commissioner for operations.
While employed with the DOH, he was responsible for the agency's communications, advertising, operations, and served as a senior policy advisor to the state health commissioner.
Additionally, he has held positions with the State Office of General Services and the State Comptroller, where he worked as deputy press secretary under Ned Regan.
Mr. Hinckley holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Colgate University.
He peviously served as vice chair of the Commission on Healthcare Facilities in the 21st Century, and on the executive board of the American Marketing Association (AMA).
