University of Wisconsin Foundation (UW Foundation) is a private, nonprofit organization headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. The Foundation was founded in 1945 and is the official fundraising and gift-receiving organization for the University of Wisconsin–Madison (UW–Madison). UW Foundation is the university’s development and financial partner.

The State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) is a state-owned pension fund management firm headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. SWIB was founded in 1951 and is responsible for managing the assets of the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), the State Investment Fund (SIF) and other state trust funds. The WRS includes the Core Retirement Investment Trust Fund (Core Fund) and the Variable Retirement Investment Trust Fund (Variable Fund).
