Lisa Lambie

Ms. Lambie joined Cordiant in September 2009.
She brings extensive experience in corporate finance origination and structuring, private equity advisory, and capital markets execution with US$28 billion in financing closed to date, including 13 private equity transactions.
Prior to Cordiant, she was in the Emerging Markets Structuring Group and Head of Distribution for Sub-Sahara Africa at Barclays / Absa Capital in Johannesburg and London, where she was instrumental in building the team, strategy, and capital market approvals.
Her product responsibilities included mezzanine, bonds, hybrids, syndicated loans, project finance, equity private placement, structured credit derivatives, and foreign exchange.
Her extensive emerging market experience also includes creating and building the Corporate Finance franchise (across sectors including infrastructure, telecommunications, agriculture), and related international and regional capital market relationships at NCB (initial platform for Portland Private Equity).
Prior to Barclays, she was a Principal at Banc of America Securities in London, responsible for senior EMEA private equity coverage (primarily Blackstone and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice relationships), leveraged finance structuring and execution, and financial sponsor debt capital markets at JP Morgan.
Ms. Lambie started her career in finance with Deloitte & Touche Canada.
Ms. Lambie holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, and a BSE in Civil Engineering and Operations Research from Princeton University.
Her current board positions related to Africa include the Canadian Council on Africa (incl.
2010 Investment Forum Co-Chair), on behalf of Cordiant, and Mecene Investments, a Johannesburg based pan-African private equity fund in the SME and microfinance space.
