Dresdner Kleinwort GmbH-Investment Management (DK-IM) is the investment banking subsidiary of Commerzbank AG Corporates & Markets, itself a subsidiary of Commerzbank AG (FR: CBK) in Germany. The firm traces their origins to 1786 and 1872 when H. Kleinwort established a partnership with O. Mueller and Dresdner Bank was founded in Germany, respectively. Dresdner Bank AG acquired Kleinwort Benson in 1995. In 2001, Dresdner Bank AG acquired the Wasserstein Perella Group, Inc., changing the firm's name to Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. In 2006 they changed their name from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein to Dresdner Kleinwort and in 2009 they became part of Commerzbank AG. Headquartered in London and Frankfurt, with an international network of offices, DK provides a wide range of investment banking products and services to European and international corporate, institutional, financial and public sector clients through their Global Banking and Capital Markets business lines.
