Before joining Philips Electronics in 1992, Edwin Puijpe studied Business Economics at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
At the Philips group, Edwin gained substantial international experience in both business-to-business environments and consumer-goods activities.
In 1995 he graduated as a Chartered Controller.
After that he worked for six years with Atos Origin, first in Singapore as Finance Director for the Asia Pacific region and then in Brazil for three years as Chief Financial Officer for South America.
In both cases he led restructuring activities and improved operational processes, achieving successful turnarounds.
Edwin's approach can be best characterised as driven, open and pragmatic.
