Mr. David R.
Hardin is a Managing Director & Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Barrow, Hanley, Mewhinney & Strauss LLC.
He joined the firm in 1987 and serves as a Co-Lead Portfolio Manager for the firm's Intermediate and Short Maturity strategies.
He also manages our municipal portfolios.
He has over 43 years of industry experience.
Prior to joining BHMS, Mr. Hardin was vice president and director of the fixed income group in the trust department at RepublicBank Dallas.
He was responsible for the management of all fixed income assets, created and managed SEC-registered mutual funds, and was the first portfolio manager for their high yield corporate bond fund.
He began his investment career at American General Insurance Co. in Houston, where he served as a private placement portfolio manager and credit analyst.
He received an M.Sc.
from the London School of Economics and a BBA from Texas Christian University.
