Prior to that, he has also worked for Midland Montagu/Greenwell Montagu (now HSBC) as a chief international economist, the Midland Bank as an economist and the Henley Centre for Forecasting as an economic researcher and consultant.
He holds a DPhil and MPhil in Economics from Oxford University and a BSc (1st Class Hons) in Economics and Statistics from the University of Wales.
