Mr. Edwards is a Managing Director in the Capital Markets Group of Cohen & Company Capital Markets, LLC and is responsible for new deal origination focusing on debt and equity transactions for both corporate and financial sponsor clients.
Over the past 15 years, he has dedicated his career to working with both his corporate and private equity clients.
He has successfully completed complex acquisition financings, recapitalizations and highly structured transactions involving senior debt, mezzanine and equity investments for companies in various industries.
He experience includes: orchestrating bank debt, bridge loan, and high yield debt financings in excess of $30 billion for companies in both ideal and challenging economic conditions, executing over 30 mezzanine and private equity transactions; and completing over 50 financing transactions related to acquisitions and leveraged buyouts.
Mr. Edwards holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School, and a B.A.
in Economics and Political Science from San Diego State University.
