Amazia Ben-Artzi

Mr. Ben-Artzi is a member of Silicom Ventures advisory board.
Mr. Ben-Artzi is a well-known pioneer in the networking industry with several years of successful engineering and management experience.
He co-founded NetManage, serving in various executive roles as Chief Architect, Vice President of Engineering, and Vice President of Business Development.
Under Mr. Ben-Artzi's leadership, NetManage ranked number one of the "100 Fastest Growing Companies" by Business Week for two consecutive years.
As Vice President of Technology for Synoptics, Mr. Ben-Artzi was in charge of software development.
As the director of network architecture at 3Com, Mr. Ben-Artzi architected the Network Management initiative across all of 3Com's divisions to unite their network architectures.
He also participated in revolutionary networking industry initiatives including the definition of NetBios, NetBios over TCP (RFC 1001) and SNMP.
He began his computer career in 1975 at Control Data, where he designed the first network-based file transfer protocol between mainframes.
Mr. Ben-Artzi holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Tel-Aviv University, and a master's degree in computer science from California State University San Jose.
