Through Technion Seed, the Vertex Venture Capital, Battery Ventures, SCP-Vitalife and ProSeed venture capital funds invest in high market potential technological ideas and ventures, that are still at an early stage and with very high uncertainty. The initial investment of up to $1 million is made both directly by the funds and indirectly through Technion Seed, and is to enable the entrepreneurs to prove the viability of their idea. Success in the initial phase will then lead to a large round of financing by the funds. The firm only accepts a small number of start-ups each year so that they can provide support for investee companies from seed to exit.
