Mick Hellman

Hellman is a Founder, Managing Partner & co-CIO at HMI Capital Management LP.
He is on the Board of Directors at oOh!media Ltd., Hellman Fellows Fund, Hellman Foundation, Rosenberg Foundation and USA Cycling Foundation.
Prior to establishing HMI Capital in late 2008, he spent most of his career at Hellman & Friedman, LLC where he was a Managing Director and a member of the Investment Committee.
Mr. Hellman started his career at Hellman & Friedman in the financial services vertical, working on investments in the money management sector.
He founded Hellman & Friedman’s software and logistics practices and established the firm’s Hong Kong office.
He was instrumental in Hellman & Friedman’s investments in Blackbaud, Hongkong International Terminals and Mitchell International.
Notably, he served as Chairman of Blackbaud, Inc. (NYSE: BLKB), from 1999 to 2009.
Prior to joining Hellman & Friedman in 1987, Mick worked as a Financial Analyst at Salomon Brothers in San Francisco in the Corporate Finance Department.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
