Die Walt Disney Company ist ein Medien- und Unterhaltungskonzern. Der Nettoumsatz (einschließlich konzerninterner Umsätze) verteilt sich wie folgt auf die einzelnen Geschäftsbereiche:
Unterhaltung und audiovisuelle Produktion (44,3 %): TV-Übertragungen und Video-Streaming (55,3 % des Nettoumsatzes; Disney+, Disney+ Hotstar und Hulu), Betrieb von Fernseh- und Radiosendern (26 %; ABC Television Network, Disney, Freeform, FX und National Geographic) und Sonstiges (18,7 %; Produktion und Vertrieb von audiovisuellen Inhalten, Film-Lizenzierung usw.);
- Betrieb von Freizeitparks und Hotelresorts (33,9 %): Betrieb von 13 Freizeitparks (40 Hotels) in den Vereinigten Staaten (Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort und Aulani; 6 Freizeitparks und 22 Hotels), Frankreich (Disneyland Paris; 2 Themenparks und 7 Hotels), Japan (Tokyo Disney Resort; 2 Themenparks und 6 Hotels), Hongkong (Hong Kong Disneyland; 1 Themenpark und 3 Hotels) und China (Shanghai Disney Resort; 2 Themenparks und 2 Hotels). Die Gruppe ist auch im Kreuzfahrtvertrieb (Disney Cruise Line), in der Reiseorganisation (Disney Vacation Club und Adventures By Disney), in der Gestaltung und Entwicklung von Parks und anderen Immobilien sowie im Verkauf von Konsumgütern (Kinderbücher, Spielzeug, Spielesoftware, Filme usw.) tätig.
