SIG verzeichnete im dritten Quartal in allen Regionen ein gutes Wachstum. Die Verbesserung in der Region EMEA im Vergleich zum ersten Halbjahr ist auf eine Belebung des Geschäfts in den Märkten im Nahen Osten und in Afrika zurückzuführen. In der Region Asien-Pazifik blieb die Nachfrage robust und die Verkäufe profitierten von der Inbetriebnahme von vor kurzem platzierten Füllmaschinen. Das zweistellige Wachstum in Nord- und Südamerika steht im Vergleich zu einem relativ schwachen dritten Quartal 2018 und wurde vor allem von den USA und Mexiko getragen.
EBITDA und bereinigtes EBITDA Das bereinigte EBITDA stieg im dritten Quartal im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 9,8 % auf EUR 123,8 Mio. und die EBITDA-Marge lag mit 27,7 % leicht höher. In den ersten neun Monaten betrug die bereinigte EBITDA-Marge 26,4% gegenüber 26,5% im Vergleichszeitraum 2018. Umsatzwachstum und die Veränderung der Wechselkurse leisteten im dritten Quartal und in den ersten neun Monaten einen positiven Beitrag zum bereinigten EBITDA und konnten die höheren Vertriebs- und Verwaltungsgemeinkosten, die insbesondere Investitionen in Innovations- und Wachstumsmärkte sowie die zusätzlichen Kosten für die Börsenkotierung beinhalten, mehr als ausgleichen. Aufgrund der starken Cashflow-Generierung des Joint Ventures im Mittleren Osten lag die im dritten Quartal gezahlte Dividende leicht über dem Niveau des Vorjahresquartals 2018; für die ersten neun Monate lag die Dividende unter dem Vergleichszeitraum 2018. Das EBITDA im dritten Quartal war aufgrund von Gewinnen auf Derivaten im Jahr 2018, die nicht wiederholt wurden, leicht rückläufig. In den ersten neun Monaten stieg das EBITDA gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 9,1% auf EUR 321,6 Millionen. Neben dem Beitrag von Umsatzwachstum und Währungen stieg der Anteil des Ergebnisses aus Joint Ventures. Die Transaktionskosten fielen geringer aus, da im September 2018 der Börsengang des Unternehmens stattfand. Diese positiven Elemente konnten die höheren Vertriebs- und Verwaltungsgemeinkosten und die geringeren Derivatgewinne mehr als ausgleichen. Nettoergebnis und bereinigtes Nettoergebnis Das bereinigte Nettoergebnis stieg in den ersten neun Monaten auf EUR 134,3 Millionen nach EUR 74,8 Millionen im Vergleichszeitraum 2018. Dieser Anstieg ist eine Folge des höheren Betriebsergebnisses und des niedrigeren Finanzaufwandes nach der Reduktion und der Refinanzierung der Schulden im Zusammenhang mit dem Börsengang[1]. Das Nettoergebnis lag in den ersten neun Monaten 2019 bei EUR 51,7 Millionen gegenüber einem Nettoverlust von EUR 7,8 Millionen im gleichen Zeitraum 2018. Das höhere Betriebsergebnis, der niedrigere Finanzierungsaufwand sowie niedrigere Transaktionskosten konnten einen Rückgang der Derivategewinne mehr als ausgleichen. Ausblick auf Gesamtjahr Nach einem starken Wachstum in den ersten neun Monaten des Jahres, insbesondere im dritten Quartal, dürfte das Wachstum im vierten Quartal etwas schwächer ausfallen. Für das Gesamtjahr 2019 wird unverändert ein währungsbereinigtes Kernumsatzwachstum von 4 bis 6% und eine bereinigte EBITDA-Marge von 27 bis 28% erwartet.
