Zürich, 13. Oktober 2020 - Die Credit Suisse hat heute die Ernennung von Christian Meissner zum Co-Leiter International Wealth Management Investment Banking Advisory (IWM IBA) und zum Vice Chairman Investment Banking bekanntgegeben. Er wird per 26. Oktober 2020 zur Credit Suisse stossen.

Gemeinsam mit Babak Dastmaltschi, Chairman Strategic Clients IWM und Co-Leiter IWM IBA, wird Christian Meissner die Entwicklung und Umsetzung der IWM-Strategie für vermögende Unternehmerkunden vorantreiben, um diesem Kundensegment eine umfassendere Unterstützung und Betreuung bezüglich ausgewählter Opportunitäten im Bereich Investment Banking zu bieten.

Als Vice Chairman Investment Banking bei der Credit Suisse wird Christian Meissner auf seine langjährigen Unternehmens- und Private-Equity-Beziehungen zu Kunden weltweit zurückgreifen können. Seine Ernennung ist ein weiterer wichtiger Schritt in Bezug auf die Investitionen der Investment Bank in hochrangige Banker, um das Beratungs- und Kapitalmarktgeschäft auszubauen. Christian Meissner wird eng mit David Miller weltweit, mit Jens Welter in der Region EMEA sowie auch mit Yves-Alain Sommerhalder, Head of Global Trading Solutions and the International Financing Group, zusammenarbeiten.

Mit 30 Jahren Erfahrung im Investment Banking verfügt Christian Meissner über ein tiefgreifendes Verständnis der Branche und über ein umfangreiches Netzwerk in Europa. Er hatte verschiedene leitende Positionen bei führenden Investmentbanken inne, zuletzt als Leiter Global Corporate & Investment Banking bei der Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Von 2004 bis 2008 war er bei Lehman Brothers als Co-Leiter EMEA Investment Banking und anschliessend als Co-Chief Executive Officer EMEA tätig gewesen. Zuvor hatte er bei Goldman Sachs als Leiter European ECM gearbeitet und war 2002 Partner geworden. Christian Meissner wird am Standort Zürich tätig sein und dem IWM Management Committee angehören. Er wird an Philipp Wehle, CEO International Wealth Management, und Brian Chin, CEO Investment Bank, rapportieren.
