Zdenìk Bakala is the founder of Patria Finance AS, founded in 1994, and ZB Sports Development Bvba, founded in 2012.
He is currently the Chairman of Economia AS since 2013, Chairman-Supervisory Board of Bakala Crossroads Partners as since 2005, Chairman-Supervisory Board of BXR Partners as since 2005, Director of CERCL Mining BV, Director of BXR Real Estate Investments BV since 2006, Director of Respekt Media as, and Trustee of Design Museum since 2013.
His former positions include Vice Chairman of New World Resources NV from 2006 to 2011, Vice Chairman of New World Resources Plc from 2011 to 2015, Director of Advanced World Transport BV, Member-Corporate Finance of Drexel Burnham Lambert Real Estate Associates II in 1990, Head-Czechoslovakia Desk at Credit Suisse First Boston Europe Ltd., Member-Supervisory Board of Prague Stock Exchange in 2010, and Member-Supervisory Board of Ostravsko Karvinske Doly as from 2008 to 2010.
He obtained an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1986 and an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 1989.
