Yaacov Weinstock

Yaacov is an Operating Partner at Greybull Stewardship with a focus on technology.
His responsibilities include assisting Greybull’s portfolio companies on how to best leverage technology to achieve their long-term goals.
He brings to the position a broad array of technology experiences across industries, up & down the organizational structure and across technology disciplines.
Yaacov started his career at ACTV which leveraged emerging technology to create an enhanced media platform.
He helped build the platform that launched two products: eSchoolOnline which was K-12 education platform that was acquired by Harcourt, and HyperTV which was an online entertainment product that was acquired by Liberty Media.
Shortly after that sale, Yaacov spent a year in the pharmaceutical industry taking on the challenge of managing Merck’s internal and external web infrastructure.
Realizing he wasn’t a ‘large company’ kind of guy, Yaacov took a role as the only developer at Arden Asset Management, an emerging alternative investment firm.
He proceeded to build out the software development and data analytics discipline and eventually became CTO in 2013.
The platform he built allowed the firm to scale quickly and be a first mover into the Liquid Alternatives market.
This proved to be a key factor in the eventual acquisition of Arden by Aberdeen Asset Management (now called abrdn).
After serving a year as a transition consultant post acquisition, Yaacov joined the US division of Fiera Capital as their first CTO.
Aside from broad technology responsibilities, Yaacov designed and led the digital transformation of the US division combining four distinct acquisitions into a single data-first operating model.
Yaacov graduated from Brooklyn College and is a CFA Charterholder.
