He then worked as a Managing Director at Hypo Real Estate Capital Corp.
from 2004 to 2008.
During this time, he also served as the Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer at Quadra Realty Trust, Inc. from 2007 to 2008.
He later worked as the Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer at Tiptree, Inc. in 2011 and at Western Asset Mortgage Capital Corp.
from 2012 to 2015.
Prior to his career in finance, he earned an undergraduate degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a graduate degree from Stanford Law School.
He also earned a graduate degree from New York Law School.
