Steven Gorey

Prior to joining Golden Tree InSite Partners in February 2010, Mr. Gorey was a Senior Vice President with Lehman Brothers in the firm's Principal Transactions Group.
His responsibilities included underwriting and asset management, transaction due diligence, structuring, and execution for real estate debt and equity investments with a focus on development properties.
He spent a total of 15 years at Lehman Brothers.
In previous roles he was responsible for asset management and financial reporting of the firms corporate investments in real estate, which included direct investments in both development and operating properties.
Prior to rejoining Lehman Brothers in 2007, Mr. Gorey was a Vice President with Citigroup in the firms Consumer Assets Division, and Vice President and CFO of The Student Loan Corporation, a NYSE listed company 80% owned by Citigroup.
In these roles, he was responsible for financial reporting, portfolio funding, strategic planning, and acquisition and disposition of both business lines, and portfolios consisting of residential mortgages and student loans.
Mr. Gorey received a BS in Business Administration from Manhattan College, and an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
