They are a wholly owned subsidiary of Man Investments Holdings, Inc., which is ultimately held by Man Group Plc (LON: EMG). Numeric Investors provides investment advisory services for US and non-US taxable and tax-exempt clients, which are primarily institutions, that invest through separately managed accounts; however, the firm also provides investment advisory services to privately offered pooled investment funds they sponsored.

SSgA Funds Management, Inc. (SSgA FM) is a registered investment advisor and mutual fund manager headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. The firm was founded in 1978 and is a subsidiary of State Street Global Advisors, Inc., ultimately held by State Street Corp. (NYSE: STT). SSgA FM provides investment advisory services to US investment companies and certain pooled investment vehicles.

HMC manages Harvard’s endowment, a dedicated and permanent source of funding that maintains the teaching and research mission of the University.
