Oscar Gil Vollmer

Mr. Oscar G.
Gil was a Chief Executive Officer & Chief Operating Officer at Appomattox Advisory, Inc. In this capacity, he is a member of the Investment Committee responsible for operational due diligence and portfolio management, as well as managing the firm’s financial and legal affairs.
He has over 14 years direct experience managing diversified multi-asset portfolios.
He is also a Chief Executive Officer of the Appomattox Advisory, Inc. Prior to co-founding Appomattox in September 2005, Mr. Gil was with First Atlas Capital, Inc. where he was responsible for identifying, evaluating and structuring investments with several early-stage hedge funds for the firm’s hedge fund seeding platform.
Mr. Gil served as Director for the Weston-Atlas Partners Fund, the firm’s hedge funds seeding joint venture.
Previously, he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he focused on the financial services industry as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Gil received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Metropolitan in Caracas, Venezuela and an MBA from Harvard Business School where he founded the Harvard Business School Latino Alumni Association.
