In his past career he was Vice President-Engineering for Citrix Systems, Inc. and Vice President-Engineering at Teros, Inc. (a subsidiary of Citrix Systems, Inc.) and Engineer & Scientist at HP, Inc.

Dr. Mirani received a doctorate from Yale University and an undergraduate degree from Indian Institute of Technology New Delhi.
