Currently, Lian Ge Liu is Chairman of Bank of China Ltd., Chairman for Bank of China (Hong Kong) Ltd. and Chairman at BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) Ltd. Mr. Liu is also on the board of BOC Hong Kong (BVI) Ltd. and Boc Hong Kong (Group) Ltd.

In his past career he was Vice Chairman & President at The Export-Import Bank of China and Deputy General Director at The People's Bank of China.

He received an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree from PBC School of Finance Tsinghua University.
