Presently, José Munoz occupies the position of Global Chief Operating Officer at Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd., President & Chief Executive Officer for Hyundai Motor America, Inc. and Senior Vice President-Sales & Marketing at Nissan Mexicana. Dr. Munoz is also on the board of Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance.

In his past career he occupied the position of Vice President & Chief Performance Officer at Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Chairman for Nissan North America, Inc. (a subsidiary of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.).

Dr. Munoz received an MBA from Instituto de Empresa SL and a doctorate from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
