John Baker founded D2L, Inc. and D2L Corp. Mr. Baker occupies the position of Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer for D2L, Inc. and President, Chief Executive Officer & Director at D2L Corp.

He is also on the board of Communitech, Inc. (former Chairman), Canada's Technology Triangle, Inc., Canada’s National Ballet School and Business Council of Canada and Member-Affinity Board at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Member-Affinity Board at The University of Waterloo, Member of Industry Strategy Council and Member of Business Higher Education Roundtable.
