Mr. John P. Babcock is a Senior Executive Vice President & President-Wealth Management Business at Peapack-Gladstone Financial Corp., and a Senior Executive Vice President at Peapack-Gladstone Bank.
He is also the President of Peapack Private Wealth Management.
He is responsible for all of the Company’s wealth management activities including investment management, trust and fiduciary services, custody, banking and lending solutions for high net worth, institutional and not-for profit clients.
He is a member of the Peapack-Gladstone’s Senior Management Executive Committee, the Asset and Liability Committee, the Firm Risk Committee, as well as serving as President of PGB Trusts and Investments of Delaware.
He is currently on the Board of Trustees of the Purnell School.
Prior to joining Peapack-Gladstone Bank, Mr. Babcock was the managing director in charge of the Northeast Mid-Atlantic region for the HSBC Private Bank and, prior to that, he was the New York Metro Market Executive for U.S. Trust - the largest of U.S. Trust’s 53 markets in the U.S. In these and previous roles over the last 35 years, he has led commercial and wealth management/private bank businesses in New York City and regional markets through mergers, expansions, rapid growth and periods of significant organizational change.
He has been involved with many organizations over the years in board and advisory capacities including the New Jersey Special Olympics, New Jersey SEEDS and the New Jersey State Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Foundation.
He is a 1980 graduate of Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business and has an M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He holds his FINRA Series 7, 63 and 24 securities licenses.
