He is also on the board of The Explorers & Producers Association of Canada.

Mr. Jaskela previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President at Baytex Energy Corp. and Chief Operating Officer & VP-Production at Baytex Energy (LP) Ltd. (a subsidiary of Baytex Energy Corp.) and Vice President-Production at Wild Stream Exploration, Inc.

He received an undergraduate degree from Montana Tech of the University of Montana.
