He is also on the board of Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, Inc. and Member-Construction Sector Board at Association of Equipment Manufacturers.

In the past he occupied the position of President of Rivulis Irrigation, Inc.

Mr. Thorne received an undergraduate degree from Bradley University and an MBA from Clemson University.
