The 2014 World Executive Search Congress (#WESCMiami), held at the Sofitel Miami, Florida, on May 19-20, attracted executive search professionals from across 19 countries and was rated as 'excellent' or 'very good' by the vast majority of them.

Designed by search-consult in conjunction with Bob Benson, Chairman of RLBenson & Associates, the event focused on the building of successful and sustainable Executive Search firms.

Sessions on a range of topics from operational excellence to successful client management were led by thought leaders, including alumni of global search firms Spencer Stuart, Russell Reynolds Associates and Korn Ferry and representatives of organizations that work closely with search firms.

Attendees said they benefited from updates on the industry and the sharing of ideas and best practice. They described the sessions as 'eye-opening,' 'engaging,' 'very interesting,' 'compelling,' 'excellent,' 'enlightening,' 'thought-provoking,' 'very useful,' 'fantastic' and 'fun'.

Delegates also said they enjoyed and benefited from the international networking opportunities that were presented, including a drinks reception by the Poolside.

On the post-event survey form Ignacio Garrote, General Director at Phoenix Search, Mexico, wrote 'Thank you for everything. Good value for money spent,' and Kuang-Hua Lin, President of Asia-Pacific Management Consulting Ltd, China, wrote 'Thank you for the excellent event.'

Jason Starr, Managing Director of Dillistone Systems, the leading global supplier of Executive Search software, said: "We are very proud to have again acted as hosts to leaders of executive search firms from around the world.  It was particularly good to catch up with so many of our clients with whom we shared a sneak peak of some of the developments we are working on with our FileFinder suite.

The previous events, held in Las Vegas in 2012 and 2013, were attended by hundreds of executive search professionals from over 30 countries.
