Deutsche Boerse : STOXX® lizenziert Global Fintech Index an Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management

ZUG (18. Oktober 2018) - STOXX Ltd., Betreiber des Indexgeschäfts der Gruppe Deutsche Börse sowie weltweiter Anbieter innovativer und handelbarer Indexkonzepte, hat den STOXX Global Fintech Index als Basis für einen Investmentfonds an Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management lizenziert.

Der Index setzt sich aus Unternehmen zusammen, die im Bereich Finanztechnologie (Fintech) aktiv sind. Diese Unternehmen nutzen Technologie, um Endkunden auf neuen Wegen Zugang zu Finanzdienstleistungen zu ermöglichen. Darüber hinaus stärken sie den Wettbewerbsvorteil traditioneller Finanzdienstleister, indem sie Effizienz verbessern sowie neue Produkte und Lösungen vorantreiben. Daten des Revere Business Industry Classification System (RBICS) erlauben eine detaillierte Aufschlüsselung der Einnahmequellen qualifizierter Firmen und ermöglichen die Auswahl von Unternehmen, deren Umsätze in besonderem Maße von fintechbezogenen Aktivitäten abhängig sind.

Das zugrundeliegende Universum für den STOXX Global Fintech Index ist der STOXX® Developed and Emerging Total Market Index. Der Fintech-Index folgt der gleichen umsatzbasierten Auswahlmethodik, die bereits von weiteren thematischen Indizes von STOXX angewandt wird. Unternehmen, die mindestens 50 Prozent ihres Umsatzes in mehr als 30 fintechbezogenen Branchen generieren, werden für den Index ausgewählt. Zu diesen Branchen gehören Blockchain-Technologie, Dienstleistungen im Rohstoffhandel, Software zur Zahlungsabwicklung, Privatkunden-Brokerage, Finanz-und Compliance-Software, Geldtransferdienste und Handelsabwicklungsdienstleistungen. Gewichtet werden die einzelnen Werte entsprechend ihrer Abhängigkeit von fintechbezogenen Branchen, multipliziert mit ihrer Marktkapitalisierung.
