Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is a Canada-based gold mining company, which is engaged in producing precious metals from operations in Canada, Australia, Finland and Mexico. It has a pipeline of exploration and development projects in these countries as well as in the United States and Colombia. The Company's exploration site includes Anza, Barsele, Delta, Douay/Joutel, Kirkland Lake Regional, Kuotko, Monument Bay and others. Its operations include Canadian Malartic Complex, Detour Lake, Fosterville, Goldex, Kittila, La India, and others. Its Pinos Altos is in the mountainous region of northern Mexico, 220 kilometers (km) west of the city of Chihuahua. Canadian Malartic, 25 km west of Val-dâOr in northwestern Quebec, is the second operating gold mine in Canada. The Detour Lake operation is located in northeastern Ontario. The Goldex mine is the easternmost part of the chain of operations and properties that it owns in the Abitibi region of northwestern Quebec and northern Ontario.
